One of the things I have discovered along my way is how Gratitude plays such an integral role in our growth journey.

I used to hear about gratitude allll the time but it really never sunk in until I started practicing gratitude. When I began to actually practice gratitude my whole life changed. My perspective on everything changed and grew, including my patience, tenfold.

Having a toddler challenges you in many ways you never knew before.

But it has taught me, far and away, more than any challenge ever poised.

I never imagined that the beautiful soul I would bring into the world would teach more than I knew in the 41 years I had spent on earth before he got here… But it has definitely happened. Feeling grateful more often has allowed me to challenge myself more with lower expectations yet yielding higher results. I am more OK and content with where I am, appreciating what I have, feeling like I have arrived, accepting judgement, without having to own it because it does not identify me but allowing it to happen and being at peace with it. Life is fluid and so are people, therefore; circumstances change and so do we. This gratefulness has also enabled me to be socially brave, introducing my life to social media, as never before, going deep with people that I have never met, accepting what comes my way without internalizing anything negative. Life is so grand when we throw open the doors welcoming all into our world of many discussions. Allowing ourselves to remain open and not being affected by differences - Simply welcoming them.
